L. H. King Esq.,

E. Yorks.
Dear Mr. King,
HONG KONG,
I am in receipt of your letter of the 13th
instant, for which I thank you.
1.
We agree that it will be necessary for the
Marconi Company to send out an engineer to instal the
three new transmitters and the eight new receivers
which it is proposed to supply for the working of the
local services.
2.
We also agree that it is desirable that the
various details in connection with the taking over of
the local services should be settled before you leave
for Hong Kong on the 4th September.
3.
With regard to the Principal Agreement, we
have recently received a letter from the Colonial Office
enquiring whether the Company is prepared to accept the
proposals contained in the draft agreement, and we have
replied suggesting certain modifications in the agree-
ment. We presume that our observations on the
transition agreement will also have to be communicated
to the Colonial Office.
